Washburn Center for Children

Washburn Center for Children is the state’s leading children’s mental health center, caring for a wide variety of children’s needs such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. One out of five Minnesota children will experience mental health challenges, yet only 20% get the help they need. Washburn Center believes a child’s mental health is as important as their physical health. When children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges receive early intervention, they have happier childhoods, are less likely to fail academically, drop out of school or become involved in the juvenile justice system.

Confidence Learning Center

Confidence Learning Center is a 501c3 organization that receives no state or federal funding. Our Program is supported by individual donors, fraternal organizations, service clubs, the community and successful fund raising events. "Camp Confidence is the best thing in the Brainerd Lakes Area. In a few short days, these kids receive a lifetime of memories. I'm proud to be associated with it, "stated long time supporter, Myron Kujawa "Over the years, I've personally witnessed the miracles that take place regularly at Camp Confidence. The 'campers' are people of all ages with developmental disabilities, who are given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of outdoor activities, building self esteem in the process. Camp Confidence is a one of a kind place that changes the lives of campers and their families forever," remarked  Al Lindner from Lindner Media Productions.
